It was a spontaneous idea that got into my head due to me never having to been to a pumpkin patch in my life. I got the idea after I saw Maddie’s Pumpkin Patch Patch pop up on my Facebook. So after my class my friend and I started our journey to go check what all the fuss is about. We were trying to get the location of it and ended up driving up and down the road not finding the entrance until we saw a small banner of Maddie’s Pumpkin Patch. The entrance was sketchy and in the middle of nowhere with nothing but fields around it when we started to drive on the trail. We ended up getting to where we had to pay the owner of the patch $10 for parking realizing that we were the only ones there at the time. This saved us a lot of time trying to find a parking spot.
Once we got out of the car we noticed the huge hay bales have been decorated as pigs and cows. We took a couple of pictures with them because they looked cute. We saw the main historical looking house in the middle of the patch which was also decorated with plenty of pumpkins and a tractor out front. There was also a wagon with hay bales that were placed in front of the house for pictures to be used for photos if the customers want to sit on them.
We began our journey through the trail we saw the pumpkin patch poster that said “Welcome to Maddie’s Pumpkin Patch“. We ended up taking a picture with the poster. We walked the part of the trail through a wooded area where along the side of each trail were pumpkins displayed. We ended up in the center of the Trail where they had a run downed Chevy truck decorated with fall pumpkins, scarecrows and flowers. They also had a hay bale under the back tailgate for customers to take picture which we did.

As we continued our Journey through the trail we ended up at a big red barn that housed farm animals. The barn had cows, horses, pigs as well as ducks that are in the stables. They also had a small petting zoo with goats and rabbits that you can feed and pet. We fed one of the goats that was there even had to convince him we were safe so it didn’t run off. The goat was curious about us feeding the bunnies at first so we started feeding him slowly to get him out of the tire.
At the end of the day we were at a patch of pumpkins that led to an arch that was fall decorated and surrounded by pumpkins and hay bales. This looked like the perfect spot for the last picture of our adventure at Maddie’s Pumpkin Patch. They will in early December transition to Maddie’s Christmas Tree Farm which we will be looking forward to this Christmas Season. I would recommend this to anyone who has never been to a pumpkin patch for fall.
